SAIL A SILKEN PUFF

Terra firma safe

fixed and fastened

of patterns predictable

so mindlessly, so silently saunter the linear path

saluting it's defined edges,

finding comfort among emotion's low notes.

Yet everywhere living water

dripping in filmy clouds

tumbling in blue-green sea,

shimmering in silvery earth-dew.

Path's end

invites a daring plunge, an inspired soar

where the soft moon sways and

carriages of stars cluster above this heavy dark.

Sail a silken puff to crystal

dreams

and settle not

until sun's last day.

COVER OF CLOUD

Yes-this is the quilt (a closeup section) featured in the heading above. It's framed below (bottom row/center frame) along side the paper collage of the same title, shown in yesterday's blog post.

This is an exhibit I did at our home in 2009. Beach Poetry series exhibited in studio. Rest of the exhibit, on the main floor, is a great photo story for another post.

I'll be taking a couple days off from blogging. Check back next week.

CAPE CLOUDS

Still thinking about the panarama of sky and sea outside our beach cottage. Reminds me of 2 pieces I designed several years ago, titled Cover of Cloud. This is the 1st collage done on paper. Tomorrow posting the 2nd.
