The last couple of posts have featured quilts from POSTCARDS FROM KUNMING. This series was inspired during a week of teaching design and exhibiting art quilts at 2 Universities in Yunnan Province, China at the '99 Kunming International Festival of the Arts. Light on the Journey is the first in the series of 9. The POSTCARDS were first exhibited at the Jin Heung Gallery, Seoul, Korea. I designed postcard graphics with a message to be hung with each "postcard" quilt. The texts were written in Korean, Chinese and English. I took this photo at the opening. There's Light on the journey hung with the 'postcard' graphic.
