SENT OFF 2 BOOKS FOR PUBLISHING

We finally completed the process of putting Hailey and Zach's books into Blurb's BookSmart program.

Sent them off last night, via the internet.

Zach and Hailey are each the artist and storyteller of their books. Their grandma supplied the bookmaking art supplies and let them create!

EVER THE TEACHER

Ever the teacher, I can't help but share the process.

On the pages following the story of Leopard and Birdie, is the visual story of the process.

I took photos of Zach as he was creating.

GREAT AT THE LAYERS

For me it's a team effort getting these accordion books ready for publishing in Blurb.

Lot's of photoshop is involved getting the images ready. Nelson is great at making corrections in the 'layers'. I tend to over-saturate and over sharpen.

WORKING ON LEOPARD AND BIRDIE

Nelson and I have a backlog of 5 picture story books to put into publishing mode for our grandkids.

We're working on Zach's Leopard and Birdie today, which he created back in April, when we were visiting Zach and his family. lower photo

MAKING FINAL PAGES

It was busy at our house last week but we did manage to finish 2 books and capture the picture stories on video and in longhand.

Zach brought his story into outer space and then back to the beach. A great imagination at work!
